It's a Go!

As this News Feed will be a record of announcements, I am reprinting the first announcement ever made on this website. It was originally posted on the home page of the brand new SWCoGen website on April 3, 2011.
A meeting was held on 2 Apr 2011 to see if there was enough interest to form a genealogical society. With 12 people in attendance, we decided to move forward in creating the Southwest Colorado Genealogical Society.
Our first official meeting will be held 14 May 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Animas Museum, located at 3065 W. 2nd Ave., Durango. At that meeting, annual dues will be collected and anyone who pays dues by that date will have the distinction of being recorded as a Founding Member. We will also offer some genealogical training at that meeting.
